As an industry leader of equestrian preventative maintenance and rehabilitation devices, RevitaVet® has a mission of educating competitors and horse owners in all disciplines on the benefits of infrared/photo therapy, and the advantages of addressing costly issues as, or even before, they arise.
RevitaVet is a long-time supporter of equestrian sport and of Galway Downs and its competitors. Founder Tom Neuman is excited to see many of RevitaVet’s fans in person at the Eventing Championships Nov. 1-5. The company is sponsoring an award for the High Point Junior and Amateur Riders in the Training Division. And Tom is personally providing a special award to be given in honor of the late and much-missed eventer Pam Fisher.
Tom didn’t know a lot about horses when he first met Pam at a dressage competition in Scottsdale, AZ in 2007 or 2008. “Pam had a horse with a sore back,” Tom explains. “Nothing else had worked, so she said, ‘Let’s try this thing.”
RevitaVet was new in the horse world at the time, but the remarkable effect it had on Pam’s horse was an early indicator of how widely relied on the therapy would become. “Almost immediately, Pam’s horse was much better. Pam and I got to talking and she said, ‘Why don’t you sponsor me and I can tell everybody how great this product is.’”
Pam became the first RevitaVet ambassador on a roster than now includes the top names in several disciplines. Olympians including McLain Ward and Phillip Dutton are on it, along with the 2023 Land Rover Kentucky 5* winner, Tamie Smith.
“I told Tamie she would win it,” Tom says of her history-making victory with Mai Baum in April. “I left my booth at Land Rover Kentucky to make sure I was in the stadium when she won. I knew she was going to do it.” Tamie is a 13-year RevitaVet believer, Tom relays.
RevitaVet is also a longtime sponsor of the US Eventing Association’s Young Rider of the Year award.
Pam Fisher’s passing a year ago saddened the eventing world and she is missed by many. “She did not have an enemy in the world,” Tom shares. “She helped all kinds of different people. She was a good person.” Hence the special award to be unveiled at the Championships. It will recognize good sportsmanship in Pam’s honor with the FEI Ground Jury members helping determine the recipient.
How RevitaVet Works
RevitaVet delivers safe and effective pulsed infrared light therapy which stimulates the body’s natural ability to heal, but at an accelerated pace. The application can be 5-15 minutes and the system offers seven selectable frequencies, allowing for a customized therapy. Treatment will not harm healthy tissue and has no known negative side effects.
The RevitaVet systems offer the leading technology in non-invasive care for conditions from abscesses to torn suspensories and anything in between, including saddle sores and various musculoskeletal injuries.
You can apply RevitaVet on virtually any part of the horse, and it has set the precedent for preventive maintenance. The devices are easily applied to the horse (or other animal large or small). RevitaVet also has wireless devices that address ankles, back, hocks, knees, tendons and the poll.
